Staying Motivated in the Gym

I finally decided to make my health a priority by going to the gym for the first time ever, but it is so difficult. I understand that it takes a while for something to become a habit, but my body is anti-exercise (or at least that’s what I tell myself). However, I found a great way to keep going!

A new outfit works wonders with your confidence, attitude, and enthusiasm, am I right? Well, that’s exactly what I did to get myself to the gym. I bought a few pieces of workout clothes a while back in hopes that it would give me the inspiration to go get my body in better shape and it certainly did.

I’m linking some of the items below that I do have and use, and similar items for products that are no longer being sold. 🙂

My all-time favorite leggings are from Under Armour Factory at Tanger. I’m always impressed with each pair because of their quality and fit. I’ve never spent more than $45 on a pair. The ones I linked above are similar to what I have on in the picture.

All of my sports bras and tops are from T.J. Maxx. Everything I buy that is workout related from T.J. Maxx is never over $20 each! Whether I’m looking for sports bras or dry fit tops, I’ve never found a bad deal.

The tennis shoes I wear are the Adidas Cloudfoam Pure Sneaker from DSW. I only wear tennis shoes to work out, so they don’t wear easily. Because of that, I’m able to save a lot of money on top of the great DSW deals! *Pro tip: stack up to 3 coupons for additional savings.*

I also use cute water bottles. I typically don’t drink water because I hate the “taste,” but it’s essential for staying hydrated. Having a cool bottle makes me want to drink water! My favorite water bottle is the S’ip by Swell. It’s a skinny bottle so it can fit in small places and they come in all sorts of colors and patterns. My first one was white and I’ve had it for over 3 years. They’re extremely durable and the coating never comes off.

I’m hoping that I will get to the point that I will be able to make my health a priority without new clothing or accessories, but until then… if you see me in the gym, it’s likely because I bought a new top or water bottle! 🙂
